Our Vision & Mission

are great teachers at West Hills."
Part of our mission at
West Hills is to EQUIP one another for spiritual growth and ministry.
Since we believe our most important "equipment" is the Word of
God, we value teaching.
West Hills also has a strong theological base in the Evangelical
Covenant Church.
Milk does not satisfy this congregation. We need meat, something to chew on.
We love to laugh at ourselves, although we’re not above correcting the speaker’s misquote or wrong reference.

You could call us “interactive.” Faith is a fairly steep climb for a lot of us. We’ve filtered through a myriad of life’s experiences to arrive at belief, so we’re skeptical of easy answers. At the same time, we’re constantly checking to make sure that basic lifeline is intact. We long to be stretched and anchored at the same time.
Teaching happens at
Confirmation (for young adults), youth groups, home fellowship groups,
KIDS Church and Bible studies.
